What is High-Content Screening?

High-Content Screening involves the automated acquisition and analysis of images from biological samples, such as cells or tissues. Unlike traditional methods, HCS utilizes sophisticated imaging systems capable of capturing multiple parameters simultaneously, providing a comprehensive description of cellular morphology.

How does High-Content Screening work?

High-Content Screening systems typically consist of automated microscopes equipped with high-resolution cameras, robotic sample handling systems, and powerful image analysis software. These systems can capture images of thousands of cells in a single experiment, enabling high-throughput screening and analysis.

The High-Content Screening System at Pivot Park screening Centre

At Pivot Park Screening Centre we make use of an Ultrasensitive epi-fluorescent imaging and analysis screening platform with precision automated stage, SBS compatible plate insert, advanced software autofocus, on-board laser autofocus (730nm) and laser-scanning barcode reader. Includes 16-bit scientific CMOS Photometrics camera with 95% quantum efficiency and low 1.0 e- read noise.
