Streamlined Process and Proven Expertise

This customer approached us with a need to screen a large library of compounds rapidly and accurately. Their goal was to identify chemical starting points that could be further developed into lead candidates.

Their 384-well plate assay Standard Operation Protocol (SOP) was shared with us. So, our first step was feasibility of this assay and then miniaturization and optimisation. We successfully scaled their assay into 1536-well format, enabling efficient fully automated screening and data collection while also saving on compounds and reagents.

We performed this screen using luminescence, one of our many possible read-out modalities, generating approximately 300,000 data points daily. Our customer was impressed with the speed and precision of the data generated, which allowed them to identify promising hits quickly and move forward with their drug development program.

During the project, they stored a copy of their library at our facility. The capability of storing external library copies and the fact that we have almost all read-out modalities in-house made this customer choose Pivot Park Screening Centre as a partner. It gave them all the flexibility they wanted.
